 Description:  Sir William Foster Stawell established the Stawell Scholarship in 1873 for the encouragement of study in the School of Engineering. This scholarship is to be especially directed towards a student who has been unable to prepare a paper on the latter stages of their work as they have been concentrating on completing their thesis.
